Alexandra DiRico
Alexandra is a multi-sport athlete, Allie has shown nothing but excellence in her playing and coaching career. While at the Hill School she was the team captain for the varsity ice hockey team, and later became head coach of the JV field hockey team, asst coach and goalie instructor for the girls varsity lacrosse team, and also asst coach and goalie instructor for the girls varsity ice hockey team. While attending St Anselm College and new England College, she attained Rookie of the Year, MVP, and team captain of her girls lacrosse teams, along with an NCAA #1 goalie national ranking! She has continued to coach ice hockey and lacrosse while receiving a Masters degree at West Chester University and earning additional accreditation at Villanova University.
Mike Keenan
Mike is finishing his 24th season, and has coached at every level. Currently, he is the head coach of Strath Haven High School Boys' Varsity and Strath Haven Elementary teams, and assistant coach for the Little Flyers Peewee major team. Teams that he has had the pleasure to coach have had home rinks in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Delaware.
Mike was head coach for the Little Flyers Junior B team (2003-2006) and Villanova University (1999-2003). While at the Wilmington Typhoon club for nine years, he was head coach and assistant coach at literally every level, including ACE Coordinator, board member, and clinic instructor. A number of summers were spent as skating instructor, dryland instructor and shooting coordinator for goalie camps, player camps, and clinics at Penn State University, Lawrenceville Prep, Neville Island Arena, Iceland Arena, and the Skating Club of Wilmington. From 1996 to 2002, he had the privilege of being an off-ice official for the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Phantoms (statistician, goal judge, etc).
His playing career included Penn State University, St James High School, and the Gladiators club teams.
Rich Black
Rich has coached many years for Marple Newtown High School boys ice hockey and the Middle School levels. He has coached boys teams for five years at the Delco Phantoms, and in this past season led the girls 12U team to the very top by winning the MAWHA and District championships !! He played professional roller hockey and high school ice hockey.
John Chiango
John in his first season with the Delco Phantoms, John will bring his expertise in girls instruction developed from many successful seasons with the Strath Haven High School girls varsity team. He has coach in the SHL at the nearby Springfield Rink, and has been an instructor at multiple clinics at Iceworks. He played for LaSalle University in the ACHA.
Our staff includes excellent supporting coaches who will assist on specific teams but will also work with other girls teams in our program. They include: Chad Nelson, Kat Jensema, Heather Grant, Stephane Charbonneau, Joe Oxman, and several others. It is the finest coaching staff in the area !
